GP visit for these services and the medication is now free:
- Pill checkup (doctor or nurse)
- Mirena coil -discussion/ insertion/removal
- Implanon discussion/insertion/removal
- Depo injection.
Please note the following: If there are any non-contraception topics/issues discussed this will incur a full private consultation fee (for non-GMS patients).
The cost of copper coil prescription from the pharmacy is not at present covered under this scheme.
