Overview

Centric Health Athy Medical are looking for an enthusiastic GP Associate to join our dynamic team. Athy Medical is in partnership with Centric Health, and as a benefit of that we have access to great support from a management perspective, our own mentorship programme for GPs and bespoke CPD (such as a dedicated Hot Topics course and annual conferences).

Our practices are fully computerized (Health- One), our appointments are 15 minutes. We have competitive rates, with indemnity paid by the practice.

Our teams all have experienced GP colleagues, nursing support and administration teams. 6 weeks annual leave (pro rata) and paid sick leave.

Ideally 8 sessions required.

When applying for a permanent position with Centric Health, a high-level overview of the package when working 10 sessions with Centric Health (Mon-Fri). Salary, leave, and indemnity is pro-rated downwards should you work fewer sessions.

Responsibilities

  • Patient Care: Provide primary healthcare services, diagnose and treat illnesses, manage chronic conditions, and offer preventive care.
  • Consultations: Conduct patient consultations, assess symptoms, order tests, and develop treatment plans or referrals.
  • Prescribing Medications: Prescribe medications, monitor dosages, provide instructions, and monitor effectiveness and side effects.
  • Health Promotion and Education: Promote healthy lifestyles, provide health information, and encourage disease prevention.
  • Continuity of Care: Build ongoing patient relationships, manage chronic conditions, and coordinate with other healthcare professionals.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate medical records, documenting visits, history, diagnoses, and treatments.
  • Collaborative Work: Work as part of a healthcare team, collaborating with other professionals for comprehensive care.
  • Professional Development: Engage in continuous learning to stay updated with medical advancements and best practices.
