We are delighted to inform our patients; Dr Paul McDonald and Dr George FitzGerald's Teams have formed a new partnership with Centric Health. This new partnership will be established in June 2025  

We hope you will find the following information helpful in answering some questions you may have. 

Who is Centric Health?  

Centric Health is a high-quality Primary Care group with a growing network of family GP practices and patients across Ireland. The company was founded in 2004 by two doctors, Dr Maurice Cox and Dr Ray Power. Centric Health was established to provide healthcare in a community setting, centred on the needs of our patients. Centric Health are constantly evolving and striving to ensure that it provides world-class care for more than 450,000 patients across Ireland. Centric Health are proud to say that they now have over 1000 clinical staff working to support patients' needs across all practices.  

What does this mean for you, our patient? 

  • From Jun, your medical care will be managed and maintained by Centric Health. 

  • Dr Paul McDonald and Dr George FitzGerald, and the existing teams will be delighted to continue providing medical care to you and your family. 

  • You can also continue your care with our team of professional Nurses, Nurse Mary and Nurse Bernice.  

  • Our administration team remain in place to support you: Angela, Brenda, Helen, Orla, Gosia, and Mary. 

  • Mary McCarthy is retiring at the end of May, and we wish her the very best for the future.  

  • There will be no reduction in services; in fact, we will be increasing our services in time and expanding to the wider community in Cobh.
