GP visit for these services and the medication is now free:

  • Pill checkup (doctor or nurse)
  • Mirena coil -discussion/ insertion/removal
  • Implanon discussion/insertion/removal 
  • Depo injection.

Please note the following: If there are any non-contraception topics/issues discussed this will incur a full private consultation fee (for non-GMS patients).  

The cost of copper coil prescription from the pharmacy is not at present covered under this scheme.
