The Well - Health Screening and Health Checks
The Well is a dedicated Executive Medical Health Screening practice located in the Beacon Consultants Clinic. The practice opened in April 2003 in response to an increased recognition of the value of proactive health care amongst Irish people.
The philosophy at The Well is to inspire visitors to the practice to concentrate on their health and well-being. The emphasis is on being pro-active and to encourage individual responsibility through tailored programmes which empower visitors to the practice to work towards achieving a healthy and balanced lifestyle. The Well provides three levels of medicals that have been designed with an emphasis on the modern men and ladies health issues. They incorporate the latest technology and practices and involve a complete head-to-toe physical examination, a comprehensive battery of blood tests, and a stress and lifestyle analysis. Most results are available duriing the course of the medical including the blood results. An integal part of the medicals is a lifestyle consultation which examines diet, exercise, nutrition and fitness. We don't just tell visitors that they are fine but use the results of all the tests carried our during the medical to formulate an individual's action plan for well-being and instill in them a sense of responsibility for their own health.
Additional tests that may be included in the medical based on clinical indication include a CT Cardiac Angiogram which brings the predictive diagnosis of Coronary Artery disease to an entirely new level and also CT Calcification scoring which looks for the evidence of narrowing or blockages in the coronary arteries.
Available are also a range of additional lifestyle programmes including Weight Management, Sleep Well to diagnose the causes of sleep disturbance and Stress Management Programmes.
Since the practice opened, it has welcomed over 25,000 visitors through its doors who are a combination of private and corporate clients.
